What to Expect in a Mindful Palette Session
Workshops and sessions are designed to be flexible and tailored to individual needs or group dynamics. A recommended 12-session course guides participants through a journey of self-discovery, helping them archive their color history—a personal record of how color shapes emotions, memories, and self-perception.
Each session typically includes three key components:
Mindfulness & Grounding
Before engaging with color, a short mindful practice helps participants shift out of their analytical mind and into a more intuitive, heart-centered space. This might include deep breathing, a guided visualization, or a simple body awareness exercise to foster presence and openness.Color Exploration
The core of each session involves coloring, which may take the form of structured “Heart Coloring” pages or freeform color expression. Whether filling in shapes or creating from scratch, the process allows emotions to surface in a natural, unfiltered way.Reflection & Processing
A brief journaling exercise helps capture thoughts, emotions, and insights that arise during the coloring session.
The processing discussion brings subconscious color choices into conscious awareness. Participants are invited to share their work and reflect on what their colors may reveal. Others may offer gentle observations or ask questions to help deepen self-understanding. There are no “right” answers—only personal meanings that each individual discovers for themselves.
Through this process, emotions and personal stories can emerge without judgment, creating a space where participants feel truly seen and understood. The act of witnessing and being witnessed in this way is often deeply healing and transformative.
